The Persons with Disabilities (Economic Inclusion) Bill
This bill ensures that all government wealth-creation programs, such as the Parish Development Model (PDM), automatically reserve a strict 15% quota specifically for enterprises run by persons with disabilities (PWDs). It removes the bureaucratic barriers PWDs face when applying for government grants and provides specialized financial training.
The SAGE Age Reduction & Enhancement Motion 2026
This policy aims to lower the eligibility age for the Senior Citizens Grant from 80 years down to 65 years. Additionally, it increases the monthly payment from 25,000 UGX to 35,000 UGX. The goal is to ensure older persons are not left in extreme poverty and can afford basic healthcare and food amidst the rising cost of living.
